Maenam is the calm end of Koh Samui's north coast: a long, shallow beach, an old wooden shophouse street and a run of small cafes and beach restaurants, with none of the traffic of Chaweng. The estate sits inland from the beach among working coconut groves, about two kilometres from the coast road, so it stays quiet while Fisherman's Village, Central Festival and the hospitals remain a short drive away.
